    Meant for hr

This is a good book for hr professionals, teachers and those into training and development. If u are looking for a book for personal development in this area, u are better off with a book like Stephen covey's 7 habits (which deals with almost same topics, but the words emotional intelligence is not used). Of course this book has a loooot of examples which helps illustrates points, but there are no practical guidelines that one can follow to develop these competencies.

    Practical read

Every sentence in this book can be compared with the every day interactions with the colleague's.
It will highlight in-competencies in you our your peers.

it shows that professional success is really dependent on one's emotional intelligence and not the IQ of the person.
